The Next Wave: Digital Content Repositories
Educational institutions are starting to create content repositories.
Content repositories may include:

• wikis
• blogs
• learning management systems (LMS) e.g. Life
• intranets
• portals
• interactive whiteboard galleries
• media libraries.

To meet the requirements of Statutory Licences, when placing content in a repository it is best practice to:

• Password protect repositories to limit access to teachers & students

• Mark content with an expiry date so it does not remain online when it is no longer being used

• If possible, link directly to the item or embed it rather than copy it

• Cite the copyright owner (reference it)

• Name the licence the school has purchased (for worship music)
